S7CE students attended a talk on “Entrepreneurship” delivered by Mr. Pranap G, Asst. District Industries officer, DIC, Thrissur on November 4th 2017 organised by Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Cell and District Industries Centre, Thrissur in partnership with Kerala Start-Up mission

S7 CE students visited pavement tile manufacturing company as part of their project work with their guide Dr.Nidhi M and senior practicing engineer, Prof. M.Kumaran on 10th November,2018.

An invited talk and Panel discussion on ‘Road Safety Auditing, Evaluation and Treatment’ was conducted on 15-2-2018. Dr. T. Elangovan, Exe. Director, KRSA and Er. Niju Azhakesan, Director KRSA were the resource persons.

Add on Course on ‘Total Station Survey’ was done on 24 and 25 of February 2018. Ms. Shiny Shajan has coordinated the program

A two day training program on Geometric design software ‘Plannal’ was conducted for PG students in association with IEDC during 12 and 13 of March 2018.

Seven day Short Term Training Program was conducted on ‘Practical Approach to Urban Transportation Planning using CUBE Software’ during 20th -26th May 2018. Eminent resource persons include Prof. Dr. M.V.L.R. Anjaneyulu, Dean, NIT Calicut, Mr. Ansu V. Asst. Professor, GEC Calicut, Dr. Harikrishna M. Asst. Professor, NIT-C and Mr. Hari G. P., Additional General Manager (Urban Transport) KMRL. Hands on training program on CUBE software was given by Ms. Vamsee M. Transportation Research and Planning. The program was organized by Ms. Vincy Verghese and Ms. Archana S. and was jointly sponsored by IEDC and ISTE. The program had participation from faculty and PG students of various premier engineering colleges across Kerala.

Mr. Anto, Mr. Alwyn and Mr. Dijin Raj of S4 civil won the Second prize in the college level Innovative Idea Contest conducted on the occasion of National Technology Day Celebrations which is sponsored by KSCSTE, TVM.

Department has arranged alumni interaction with students. Mr. Mohammed Jasir (Brunel University London) and Mr. Midhun T. interacted with 2014-18 batch students

Amrutha V V (s7CE) was a memeber of winning team(First prize) in a three days workshop "Startupi3" of Kerala Start Up Mission at Al Ameen Engineering College,Shornur in association with openfuel.org on 19/07/16 to 21/07/16

Mr. Shine P S was shortlisted by the international firm UNFCF, Oman

Mr. Sreenath S, Mr. Saleel Saleem and Ms. Jishma Joy got placed in Sutherland Global Services.

Ms. Ambily P (9.2), Ms. Aiswarya Jayaprasad (8.95) and Ms. Neethu Jose (8.8) of S6 won the first second and third positions in their class in the S3 university results.

Ms. Ambili P (9.11), Aiswarya Jayaprasad(9.04) and Neethu Jose(8.68) won the first, second and third position respectively in their class in the S4 university results.

S5 students have gained a remarkable result in the third semester university exams with a pass percentage of 78.79 %.

Ms. Divya Joshi (8.75) and Ms. Bency Joy (7.89) won the first and second positions and Ms. Ameera V U and Ms. Anci Devi (7.86) shared the third position in their class in the S6 university results

Mr. Manu C Paul was elected as the Arts Secretary, Mr. Mervin Augustine was UUC member and Mr. Joe Pallan was elected as the second year student representative in the college union election

Mr. Abhishek T S of S6 Civil was a member in the winning team (First prize)of Kerala Startup Mission i3 contest conducted at CUSAT on 18,19 and 20 of January 2016.

Mr. Manu C Paul and Ms. Amritha V V of S6 Civil were members in the winning team of ICT Academy KeralaTechathlon conducted at Technopark Trivandrum held on 28-1-2016.

Mr. Midhun T well coordinated the Tharang 16 Tech Fest programs of Civil Department Mr. Anand Krishnan and Mr. Afsal of S4 CE won Second prize in the Survey competition conducted as part of Tharang 16.

Ms. Feba Ann of S4 CE became the individual female champion in the competitions conducted as part of Sports Day on March 19

Mr. Jithin T J, Mr. Joseph Kodankadath, Mr. Relins, Ms. Swetha and Ms. Mariya Rose of S8 civil achieved second prize in the Vibhavana paper presentation contest

Ms. Bency Joy of S8 CE was selected for the Prof. A Radhamany endowment award for the best outgoing civil engineering student for the year 2016.

Ms. Archana C D of S7 CE has obtained Placement in Infosys.

Mr. Indrajit C S, Ms. Jishma Joy, Ameera V U, Sanaj Rajan, Saleel Saleem and Hemanth M S were placed in an international firm UNFCF, Oman.

S5 students have gained a remarkable result in the third semester university exams with a pass percentage of 78.79 %.

Ms. Ambili P has gained SGPA of 9.20 followed by Ms Aiswarya Jayaprasad and Ms. Neethu Jose (8.95, 8.80)

Mr. Manu C Paul of S5 Civil is one of the team member who got first prize in “Startup i3” a workshop conducted by Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM ) in association with Openfuel.org during 19-21 October 2015.

Mr. Manish M and Mr. Shine Sunny (S7CE) presented a paper on “Modern methods of construction Engineering” at National conference by ISTE held at NSS College of Engineering, Palakkad on 22nd September 2015.

Trainings and Industrial Visits: S7 Students are given 5 day placement training program in the campus by Career 360o group. S3 and S7 students have completed their 3 day and 7 day Industrial Visits to Mysore and Hyderabad respectively. S3 students visited a plywood manufacturing factory.
