In 2019, the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Jyothi Engineering College took a significant stride forward with the initiation of the MTech program in Industrial Automation and Robotics [Affiliated to A P J Abdul Kalam Technological University& Intake :6]

Industrial demands are growing more competitive due to evolving consumer demands and technological advancements. To meet these difficulties, workers must possess a multidisciplinary, research-based knowledge base and an inventive attitude. A post-graduate student in mechanics should ideally be research-savvy and have a legitimate skill set that is in demand right now.

The design and development of robots and other machines to manipulate and automate robotic control actions is the focus of the interdisciplinary field of automation and robotics engineering.

Engineers working in robotics and automation apply their knowledge in computer, mechanical, electrical, biological, and software engineering. In addition, they employ information technology and control system techniques to lessen the demand for human labor in workplaces, industries, and homes. It is true that the advancement of automation and robotics engineering has been essential to human progress and self-management.
