About Us

Indian Concrete Institute was established in Chennai in the year 1982. The primary objective of ICI is to enhance interaction of Engineers about the various aspects of Civil Engineer especially in the field of Concrete Technology. The members of ICI include practicing Engineers, Researchers, and Consultants in the field of Concrete. A student chapter of ICI is functioning in Jyothi Engineering College with effect from October 2015.


Mission

The mission of the Indian Concrete Institute (ICI) at Jyothi Engineering College is to promote knowledge exchange and professional development in concrete technology. We aim to engage engineers, researchers, and consultants through seminars, workshops, and collaborative projects. The needs requirement of modern society is changed day by day. In such a circumstance the industries become completed to attain vast changes. Industry requires efficient personal. This training helps to familiar with behavior, nature and present developments of the construction industry and technical aspects of private firm. There were around 24 students in our group and the visit was on 18/11/2023 at Root Valley International School building construction. We have gone through reinforcement of steel bars and concreteing activities related to construction of school building and also visted the Cheerakuzhi Old Bridge and cheerakuzhi Dam in vadakkethara,pazhambalacode,Thrissur.

The event was organised by Tharang Techno Fest 2023 in association with ICI & CEA, Department of Civil Engineering on 28th March, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Decennial Hall in offline mode. The session was handled by Mr. V S Sanjay Kumar, Principal Scientist, Head of the Traffic Engineering and Safety Division, at KSCSTE-NATPAC, Thiruvananthapuram. More than 100 students attended the session. The session mainly focused on road safety management and its principles.
