IEEE WIE AG JECC in collaboration with WDC and IEEE SB JECC celebrated International Women’s Day on 2nd March 2024 in the theme of
“INSPIRE INCLUSION”. Catherina Maria, a distinguished cine artist and esteemed alumna of our institution, conducted a special session at 3pm.

The IEEE-WIE SB JECC in collaboration with IEEE-WIE AISAT SB and IEEE-WIE CEK SB conducted an online "TOON TIME : Cartoon Making Competition" as part of the WIEbiela : WIE WEEK CELEBRATION 2023. The cartoon making competition is to showcase one's sense of artistry related to character design and sense of artistry.
The topic for the cartoon making was 'Work Life Balance of Women in STEM'. The competition was judged by a panel of experts, which included renowned cartoonists and faculty members from collaborating colleges. The judges evaluated the cartoons based on criteria such as creativity, originality, and relevance to the theme.
Prizes were awarded to the top two winners, and certificates of participation were given to all participants. The winners of the competition were Sandra Saji of MASAP Kottayam, and Fathima Thasneem of MITS Varikoli.
The IEEE-WIE SB JECC in collaboration with IEEE-WIE AISAT SB and IEEE-WIE CEK SB conducted an online Speak Up competition namely "SPEAK UP : Just.A.Minute" as part of the WIEbiela : WIE WEEK CELEBRATION 2023. This contest provided a platform for the participants to hone their speaking skills, share their ideas and inspire others.
The competition was held via google meet on 10th March 2023 beginning from 7.00pm. Each participant was given a topic on the spot, on which they are supposed to speak for a minute straight. Based on certain criterions such as clarity, logical construction of thoughts and presentation of the given topics marks were awarded amd summed up to choose the winners respectively.
The winners of the competition are Diya Peter of MITS, Kochi and Adithya Shaji E of CEK, Kottayam, securing the 1st and 2nd prize respectively.
